ELECTION OF NEW ABBOT
IN THE MONASTIC BROTHERHOOD OF BOSE

The monastic Brotherhood of Bose, North Italy, well known, among other things, for the conferences on Orthodox spirituality it organizes every year at the beginning of September for a number of years, proceeded the previous days to the election of a new Abbot (priore), since Fr. Luciano Manicardi, who completed a five years term in the ministry, decided not to apply for a renewal of his term. The brotherhood, in a peaceful and loving spirit, elected Fr. Sabino Chialà as the new abbot. Fr. Sabino is a distinguished scholar of the spirituality of the Christian East with a deep knowledge of Greek language, and also a member of the Joint International Committee of the Official Theological Dialogue between the Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches.

Volos Academy for Theological Studies, a longtime friend and partner of the Brotherhood of Bose, expresses its congratulations to the new Abbot, wishing him a blessed ministry of unity and reconciliation. May the Spirit of God, who exalted him, guide and strengthen him.
