In the aftermath of the Conference “Politics, Society and Culture in Orthodox Theology in a Global Age”, on Wednesday, February 12, Fadi Nasr from Lebanon had a meeting with members of the Youth Association of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias, and presented the activities of the Orthodox Youth Movement of the Church of Antioch, of which he is currently General Secretary. The presentation was followed by a short discussion with the members of the local Association.

The Orthodox Youth Movement is a grassroots organization that was instrumental in reviving the Antiochian Church from 1943 up to the present day, contributing in various reforms regarding both monastics and parishes, on a theological, spiritual and social level. The Orthodox Youth Movement also started educational and healthcare projects throughout Lebanon and Syria answering the humanitarian calls after the wars that ravaged both countries.
