THEOLOGICAL LEGACY AND ECUMENICAL VISION:
A Conference in Memory of Metropolitan John D. Zizioulas of Pergamon

Grand Hyatt Istanbul Hotel, November 5 – 7, 2024

An international conference in the memory of the late Metropolitan of Pergamon John D. Zizioulas is prepared by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in collaboration with the Volos Academy for Theological Studies and the Center for Orthodox Christian Studies of Fordham University (New York, USA).

The Conference is organized with the blessing of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and aims to highlight the significance of the work of the late Metropolitan of Pergamon for the Mother Church of Constantinople and for Orthodox Theology; a work for which it is noted that dozens of doctoral theses and studies have already come out, while “there is no serious theological book in the world, which does not include a reference to John D. Zizioulas”.

The Conference will be held in Istanbul, at the Grand Hyatt Istanbul Hotel, between November 5 and 7, 2024.
